Capital Seafood is one of our favorite Chinese restaurants. We live more than an hour away, but we gladly make the trip every time because the food is excellent. However, what truly makes our experience special is Mia’s exceptional service. As Mexicans, we deeply value warmth and hospitality, and Mia makes us feel at home every time we visit. Her approach is genuine, kind, attentive, and always accompanied by a sincere smile. Not only does she provide impeccable service, but she also creates a memorable experience that keeps us coming back again and again. In an industry where great service makes all the difference, Mia stands out for her professionalism, dedication, and genuine care for others. People like her are hard to find and represent the very best of hospitality. If you have the opportunity to visit Capital Seafood, I highly recommend requesting a table served by Mia. Without a doubt, she is one of the best servers we have ever met and one of the main reasons we continue to return.
My wife and I ventured out if the confines of Orange County and headed to the suburb of Arcadia in the county of Los Angeles. Thank goodness for this Chinese restaurant to open on New Year's Day! Happy New Year! It is the 1st day of 2026! Decided to venture out to this Dim Sum restaurant called Capital Seafood which did not disappoint. The hostess was very hospitable and warm as we waited roughly 10 minutes to get seated. Being that it is New Year's Day, we came a little early for food. The atmosphere was lively as it started to get close to noon time. As we sat, we were handed a menu, along with a pencil to mark down the food we want to order. The overall service was fast, and efficient. The food was insatiable, tasty, and delicious, since we had a big appetite! I found the restaurant and the restroom clean and orderly. The price was very generous considering the amount of food we ordered. I would definitely come again, their almond milk custard tea was amazing!
First time to try this restaurant with our team. The food is great and tasty. The service has some room for improvement. My team and I went there for late lunch and they're still seem busy but there were empty table settings. We were seated separately and unwilling to move us closer together even after clearing another table or two, though, we haven't been served yet. It's a typical ethnic restaurant where they do not put much thought on how the restaurant looks as long they serve good food is what I observed. They could definitely hit it a notch on the areas of service and ambience for a more enjoyable and "feel good" dining experience. Overall, pleased with what we ate.
Nice, but the fried meat bun tasted a little bit sour, not sure if it’s its original seasoning or other.
Best Dim Sum!!!! My children and I have been coming here for years, and we absolutely love this restaurant. The staff is so attentive and kind and the food is absolutely delicious 😋 We've love trying new places, but when it comes to Dim Sum, no one beats Capital Seafood. Thank you, Mia, and the entire wonderful staff, you all make every visit a treat & we always leaving absolutely full and lazy, lol. Thank you! 💝
We haven’t eaten here for years, but decided to stop by for some fresh steamed fish while we were in the area. The fish was indeed fresh and prepared properly, though the weight that we’d paid for seemed to be less than the actual weight. Other dishes were good as well. A corkage fee of $25 was reasonable.
We were in Pasadena/Acadia area last Saturday (9/13/25) around lunch time, we knew a restaurant called Capital Restaurant and the google map led us to this place. It was not the restaurant in my mind but we were hungry. We waited for about 5 minutes and got a table for three. Most of the customers were there for dim sum but we were not. We did order several dim sum to start with and we ordered the French beef and a big lobster, same as we did a week ago in Newport Seafood Restaurant in Rowland Heights. The food in this restaurant was at least same or even better than what we got a week ago. Lobster market price was 29$/lb and ours was 4.5 lbs, this is slightly cheaper but the taste was really good, the only difference was the noodle portion from this restaurant was slightly less than the one we had before. I definitely recommend the big lobster dish to everyone who loves lobster.
The food is served freshly and authentically. Even my Chinese mom is impressed with the food. The portion sizes are generous and the prices are very good. If you want to have a feast on a budget, this is the place to go
